Let A,Y,yA,Y,yA,Y,y be natural numbers with 2≤y≤A2\le y\le A2≤y≤A and u∈Ru\in\mathbb Ru∈R. Put λ(x)=1/(xlog⁡x)\lambda(x)=1/(x\log x)λ(x)=1/(xlogx), aq=∫q−1qλ(z) dza_q=\int_{q-1}^{q}\lambda(z)\,dzaq=∫q−1qλ(z)dz, and K(x,z)K(x,z)K(x,z) equal to its real two-variable moving-simplex kernel. The hybrid expression samples the second variable at qqq with weight aqa_qaq, whereas the iterated expression integrates both cell variables. Their exact difference is

H−I=∑A<p≤Y∫p−1pλ(x) D ⁣(log⁡xlog⁡y) dx,H-I=\sum_{A<p\le Y}\int_{p-1}^p\lambda(x)\,D\!\left(\frac{\log x}{\log y}\right)\,dx,H−I=A<p≤Y∑∫p−1pλ(x)D(logylogx)dx,

where D(c)D(c)D(c) is the sum over A<q≤YA<q\le YA<q≤Y of the signed Lebesgue cell defects for the conditional moving face at coordinate ccc. Equivalently, its qqq-summand is the right-endpoint approximation aqK(x,q)a_qK(x,q)aqK(x,q) minus ∫q−1qλ(z)K(x,z) dz\int_{q-1}^q\lambda(z)K(x,z)\,dz∫q−1qλ(z)K(x,z)dz. This exposes the second-coordinate discretization error without discarding its sign.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
