Let m≥1m\ge1m≥1 be an integer. For a,b,c,d∈Ca,b,c,d\in\mathbb Ca,b,c,d∈C write Fa,b,c,d(X,Y)=aXm+bYm+XY (cXm+dYm)∈C[X,Y]F_{a,b,c,d}(X,Y)=aX^m+bY^m+XY\,(cX^m+dY^m)\in\mathbb C[X,Y]Fa,b,c,d(X,Y)=aXm+bYm+XY(cXm+dYm)∈C[X,Y].

Then for all a,b,c,d,A,B,C′,D,k∈Ca,b,c,d,A,B,C',D,k\in\mathbb Ca,b,c,d,A,B,C′,D,k∈C,

Fa,b,c,d=k FA,B,C′,D  ⟺  a=kA,b=kB,c=kC′,d=kD.F_{a,b,c,d}=k\,F_{A,B,C',D}\iff a=kA,\quad b=kB,\quad c=kC',\quad d=kD.Fa,b,c,d=kFA,B,C′,D⟺a=kA,b=kB,c=kC′,d=kD.

In the proof of Theorem 2, Pα=Fα,αˉ,1,1P_\alpha=F_{\alpha,\bar\alpha,1,1}Pα=Fα,αˉ,1,1, and the pullbacks of PβP_\betaPβ under z↦czz\mapsto czz↦cz and, after clearing denominators, under z↦c/zz\mapsto c/zz↦c/z are again of this form; this criterion turns their proportionality into the comparison of coefficients that yields the ratios (8). Through Theorem 2 it also serves Theorem 1 and Remark 5.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
