This is the direct cross-orthogonality identity for distinct Brownian coordinates.

Let WWW be a ddd-dimensional Brownian motion, let i≠ji\ne ji=j, and let F\mathcal FF make every coordinate a Brownian motion. Let 0≤a<b0\le a<b0≤a<b. If ZZZ is strongly Fa\mathcal F_aFa-measurable, measurable, and bounded in absolute value, then

∫Z(ω)(Wbi−Wai)(Wbj−Waj) dP=0.\int Z(\omega)(W^i_b-W^i_a)(W^j_b-W^j_a)\,dP=0.∫Z(ω)(Wbi−Wai)(Wbj−Waj)dP=0.

This is the fundamental common-interval cross identity used to establish orthogonality of distinct Brownian coordinates and their Itô integrals.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
