integer-multiplication

Let R=C[y]/(yr+1)R=\mathbb C[y]/(y^r+1)R=C[y]/(yr+1) and ti=2eit_i=2^{e_i}ti=2ei with 2≤ti∣2r2\le t_i\mid 2r2≤ti∣2r for i<di<di<d. Put T=r∏itiT=r\prod_it_iT=r∏iti. For u,v∈⨂iRtiu,v\in\bigotimes_iR^{t_i}u,v∈⨂iRti, the normalised convolution is computed by synthetic transforms:

Tr G∗(1r (Gu)⋅(Gv))=1T u∗v,\frac Tr\,\mathcal G^*\Bigl(\tfrac1r\,(\mathcal Gu)\cdot(\mathcal Gv)\Bigr)=\frac1T\,u*v,rTG∗(r1(Gu)⋅(Gv))=T1u∗v,

where G=\mathcal G=G= synGd, G∗=\mathcal G^*=G∗= synGdInv, the product ⋅\cdot⋅ is pointwise multiplication in RRR, and ∗*∗ is the convolution convR (cyclic in each RRR-axis, negacyclic in yyy). The identity holds at every in-range index. This is the identity (2.1) used in the proof of Proposition 3.4 of Harvey–van der Hoeven.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
