Let M,aM,aM,a be real numbers, Δ=r2−2Mr+a2\Delta=r^2-2Mr+a^2Δ=r2−2Mr+a2, and let H1,H2:R→RH_1,H_2:\mathbb R\to\mathbb RH1,H2:R→R be C∞C^\inftyC∞ on the set {r:Δ(r)≠0}\{r:\Delta(r)\neq0\}{r:Δ(r)=0}. Define

ΦH1,H2(t,r,θ,φ)=(t+r+H1(r), r, θ, −φ−H2(r)).\Phi_{H_1,H_2}(t,r,\theta,\varphi)=\big(t+r+H_1(r),\ r,\ \theta,\ -\varphi-H_2(r)\big).ΦH1,H2(t,r,θ,φ)=(t+r+H1(r), r, θ, −φ−H2(r)).

Then ΦH1,H2\Phi_{H_1,H_2}ΦH1,H2 is C∞C^\inftyC∞ on the Boyer–Lindquist regular domain UM,aBL={x: Σ≠0, Δ≠0, sin⁡θ≠0}U^{\rm BL}_{M,a}=\{x:\ \Sigma\neq0,\ \Delta\neq0,\ \sin\theta\neq0\}UM,aBL={x: Σ=0, Δ=0, sinθ=0} (Σ=r2+a2cos⁡2θ\Sigma=r^2+a^2\cos^2\thetaΣ=r2+a2cos2θ).

Generic smoothness obligation of relation R3, proved for arbitrary antiderivatives H1,H2H_1,H_2H1,H2 and instantiated with the explicit ones in ExactVacuumAtlas.Release01.R3_boyerLindquist_ingoing.

Formalization Note The smoothness hypotheses on H1,H2H_1,H_2H1,H2 are section variables included into the statement; C∞C^\inftyC∞ is ContDiffOn ℝ ∞.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
