This vendored theorem states that the clamping mesh is monotone in the time window.

Let PPP be a measure on Ω\OmegaΩ, let HHH and bbb be the coefficient families used to define clampMesh, and let T≤T′T\leq T'T≤T′ be real numbers. Then, for every j∈Nj\in\mathbb Nj∈N,

clampMesh⁡(P,H,b,T,j)≤clampMesh⁡(P,H,b,T′,j).\operatorname{clampMesh}(P,H,b,T,j) \leq \operatorname{clampMesh}(P,H,b,T',j).clampMesh(P,H,b,T,j)≤clampMesh(P,H,b,T′,j).

The result allows finite-energy estimates on larger time windows to control the corresponding mesh on smaller windows.

Formalization Note. The mesh is built from ENNReal integrals of squared coefficient-clamping errors; no finiteness assumption is present in the statement.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
