The zero section of the radial collar is the boundary inclusion

collarsdifferentialgeometryexplicitdiskatlasmanifoldswithboundary

For every nonnegative integer m and every point u of the unit m-sphere, evaluating the explicit collar at (u,0) equals the underlying disk point of the inverse image of u under SPC4Disk.diskBoundaryHomeoSphere. That homeomorphism identifies the boundary determined by the explicit disk charts with the unit sphere, without moving the ambient point. The assertion preserves the specific boundary-identification map, not merely the existence of some boundary parametrization.

What the Lean code literally says, in plain math · Codex; the exact underlying model identifier is not exposed in this session.

For every natural number mmm, including m=0m=0m=0, let E=Rm+1E=\mathbb R^{m+1}E=Rm+1 with its Euclidean norm, D={x∈E:∥x∥≤1}D=\{x\in E:\|x\|\leq1\}D={x∈E:∥x∥≤1}, and Sm={u∈E:∥u∥=1}S^m=\{u\in E:\|u\|=1\}Sm={u∈E:∥u∥=1}, with their subspace topologies. For every u∈Smu\in S^mu∈Sm, the value at (u,0)(u,0)(u,0) of c:Sm×[0,1]→Dc:S^m\times[0,1]\to Dc:Sm×[0,1]→D, c(u,t)=(1−t/2)uc(u,t)=(1-t/2)uc(u,t)=(1−t/2)u, equals the point of DDD underlying the inverse image of uuu under the specified boundary homeomorphism ∂D≅Sm\partial D\cong S^m∂D≅Sm. Here ∂D\partial D∂D is the boundary for the specified disk half-space chart structure, explicitly {z∈D:∥z∥=1}\{z\in D:\|z\|=1\}{z∈D:∥z∥=1}, and that homeomorphism and its inverse preserve the underlying vector. The asserted equality is therefore c(u,0)=uc(u,0)=uc(u,0)=u as an equality of points of DDD, with the right-hand side obtained through the boundary inclusion; 000 is the left endpoint of the allowed parameter interval.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
