Let x=0,3,6,12,…x = 0, 3, 6, 12, \dotsx=0,3,6,12,… be the sequence x0=0x_0 = 0x0=0, x1=3x_1 = 3x1=3, xi+2=2xi+1x_{i+2} = 2x_{i+1}xi+2=2xi+1. Then:

  1. the original values 4+xi4 + x_i4+xi (Earth =10= 10=10) equal 4+3⋅2n4 + 3\cdot 2^{n}4+3⋅2n with n=−∞n = -\inftyn=−∞ for i=0i = 0i=0 and n=i−1n = i - 1n=i−1 for i≥1i \ge 1i≥1:
4+x0=4+3⋅2−∞,4+xn+1=4+3⋅2n(n∈N);4 + x_0 = 4 + 3\cdot 2^{-\infty}, \qquad 4 + x_{n+1} = 4 + 3\cdot 2^{n}\quad (n \in \mathbb N);4+x0=4+3⋅2−∞,4+xn+1=4+3⋅2n(n∈N);
  1. dividing by 101010 converts to astronomical units: 0.4+0.3⋅2n=(4+3⋅2n)/100.4 + 0.3\cdot 2^n = (4 + 3\cdot 2^n)/100.4+0.3⋅2n=(4+3⋅2n)/10 for all n∈{−∞,0,1,… }n \in \{-\infty, 0, 1, \dots\}n∈{−∞,0,1,…};
  2. for n∈Nn \in \mathbb Nn∈N the au form coincides with the canonical form an=0.4+0.3⋅2na_n = 0.4 + 0.3\cdot 2^nan=0.4+0.3⋅2n.

This records that the representations given in the section "Original formulation" of the source describe the same predicted distances.

Read-back

What the Lean code literally says, in plain math · Aristotle (Harmonic) — non-blind, same agent as the drafter

Non-blind read-back — not independent testimony. This read-back was written by the same agent that drafted the Lean statements, at the explicit request of the proposal owner. Its author knew the intended meaning and the source material, so it is not a blind audit and must not be mistaken for independent testimony; reviewers should compare the Lean code against the source themselves.

The statement is a conjunction of three parts, with no hypotheses.

  1. (a) 4+x0=4+3E(⊥)4 + x_0 = 4 + 3E(\bot)4+x0=4+3E(⊥) as real numbers, where x0=0x_0 = 0x0=0 and E(⊥)=0E(\bot) = 0E(⊥)=0; (b) for every n∈Nn \in \mathbb Nn∈N, 4+xn+1=4+3⋅2n4 + x_{n+1} = 4 + 3\cdot 2^n4+xn+1=4+3⋅2n as real numbers. Here xxx is the natural-number sequence x0=0x_0 = 0x0=0, x1=3x_1 = 3x1=3, xi+2=2xi+1x_{i+2} = 2x_{i+1}xi+2=2xi+1, and the left sides are the natural numbers 4+xi4 + x_i4+xi cast to R\mathbb RR.
  2. For every n∈{⊥}∪Nn \in \{\bot\}\cup\mathbb Nn∈{⊥}∪N: 0.4+0.3 E(n)=(4+3E(n))/100.4 + 0.3\,E(n) = (4 + 3E(n))/100.4+0.3E(n)=(4+3E(n))/10.
  3. For every n∈Nn \in \mathbb Nn∈N: 0.4+0.3 E(n)=0.4+0.3⋅2n0.4 + 0.3\,E(n) = 0.4 + 0.3\cdot 2^n0.4+0.3E(n)=0.4+0.3⋅2n, where on the left nnn is viewed as an element of {⊥}∪N\{\bot\}\cup\mathbb N{⊥}∪N.

EEE is the extended power of two: E(⊥)=0E(\bot) = 0E(⊥)=0, E(n)=2nE(n) = 2^nE(n)=2n.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
