cutting-planesdisjunctive-programmingrank

Rank of PPP with respect to a cut-generating procedure applied along an enumeration of the 0-1 variables, and the elementary closures of a polyhedron w.r.t. simple disjunctive cuts, strengthened lift-and-project cuts (Theorem 6.4's γ\gammaγ) and mixed integer Gomory cuts, lifted from a representation {x:Ax≥b}\{x:Ax\ge b\}{x:Ax≥b} to a set by intersecting over all representations. Content unchanged except that it is built on the corrected Cglp_v2/Tableau_v2 modules (corrected γ\gammaγ and πˉ\bar\piπˉ).

/-- One round of a cut-generating procedure applied to a coordinate: takes the current

/-- `P` has rank at most `r` with respect to the cut-generating procedure `Φ` and the 0-1 index
set `N'` (Balas §8.4, p. 104): there is a length-`r` enumeration of `N'` after which recursively
applying `Φ` reaches the convex hull of `N'`-integral points of `P`. Since the book's own proof of
Theorem 8.7 exhibits such a sequence of length exactly `|N'|` for each cut family rather than
searching for the minimal such length, "rank at most `r`" (existence of a witness of length `r`)
is what is needed and stated, rather than the exact minimal rank. -/

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
