This proves that the origin is an interior support point under centering and full-dimensionality assumptions.

Let μ\muμ be a nonzero finite Borel measure on a finite-dimensional real inner-product space. Assume:

  1. no proper linear subspace carries all of μ\muμ;
  2. the identity map is integrable;
  3. the barycenter is zero:
∫x dμ(x)=0.\int x\,d\mu(x)=0.∫xdμ(x)=0.

Then

0∈int⁡(conv⁡(supp⁡μ)).0\in\operatorname{int}\bigl(\operatorname{conv}(\operatorname{supp}\mu)\bigr).0∈int(conv(suppμ)).

This geometric statement supplies the origin-interior hypothesis used in normalization and convex-support arguments.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
