This technical lemma establishes the recursion used in the operator-route criterion.

Let C,c,R∈RC,c,R\in\mathbb RC,c,R∈R and let v,χ,L,α:N→Rv,\chi,L,\alpha:\mathbb N\to\mathbb Rv,χ,L,α:N→R and t:N→N→Rt:\mathbb N\to\mathbb N\to\mathbb Rt:N→N→R. Assume:

  1. C>0C>0C>0, c≥1c\ge1c≥1, R≥1R\ge1R≥1, and d≥1d\ge1d≥1.
  2. vk+1≤(121/100)C−1v_{k+1}\le(121/100)C^{-1}vk+1≤(121/100)C−1 and χk≥0\chi_k\ge0χk≥0 for every kkk.
  3. Every partial sum of χ\chiχ is at most L0L_0L0, and L0≤((11/10)C−1)2L_0\le( (11/10)C^{-1})^2L0≤((11/10)C−1)2.
  4. Whenever j+1<Nj+1<Nj+1<N, 0<αj0<\alpha_j0<αj and αj2≤3/C\alpha_j^2\le3/Cαj2≤3/C.
  5. td,k≥0t_{d,k}\ge0td,k≥0, td,k≤R2dvk+1t_{d,k}\le R^{2d}v_{k+1}td,k≤R2dvk+1, and, whenever 2d≤k+12d\le k+12d≤k+1 and the preceding scale bounds hold,
td,k≤(c/C)dt2d,k−d+cdR2dC∑j∈[(k+1−2d),k)χj.t_{d,k}\le(c/C)^d t_{2d,k-d}+c^dR^{2d}C\sum_{j\in[(k+1-2d),k)}\chi_j.td,k≤(c/C)dt2d,k−d+cdR2dCj∈[(k+1−2d),k)∑χj.

Then

∑k<N−dtd,k≤(c/C)d∑k<N−2dt2d,k+5d cdC−1R2d.\sum_{k<N-d}t_{d,k}\le(c/C)^d\sum_{k<N-2d}t_{2d,k}+5d\,c^dC^{-1}R^{2d}.k<N−d∑td,k≤(c/C)dk<N−2d∑t2d,k+5dcdC−1R2d.

This is a neutral auxiliary estimate that packages the finite-index decomposition into the indices where the Taylor recursion applies and the at most 2d2d2d remaining indices.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
