Let G\mathcal GG be a generator over a finite alphabet with controllable events Σc\Sigma_cΣc and L(G)=Lˉm(G)L(\mathcal G) = \bar L_m(\mathcal G)L(G)=Lˉm(G). Let K⊆Lm(G)K \subseteq L_m(\mathcal G)K⊆Lm(G) with K≠∅K \neq \emptysetK=∅. There exists a proper supervisor S\mathcal SS (with accessible automaton) with

Lc(S/G)=KL_c(\mathcal S/\mathcal G) = KLc(S/G)=K

if and only if KKK is controllable and Lm(G)L_m(\mathcal G)Lm(G)-closed, that is, K=Kˉ∩Lm(G)K = \bar K \cap L_m(\mathcal G)K=Kˉ∩Lm(G).

This is the counterpart of Theorem 6.1 (i) for the controlled language Lc(S/G)=L(S/G)∩Lm(G)L_c(\mathcal S/\mathcal G) = L(\mathcal S/\mathcal G) \cap L_m(\mathcal G)Lc(S/G)=L(S/G)∩Lm(G).

/-- Ramadge–Wonham 1987, Theorem 6.1 (ii), p. 216. Standing assumptions: `Σ` finite (p. 207),
`L(𝒢) = L̄_m(𝒢)` (§5, p. 213), supervisors accessible (p. 210). Let `K ⊆ L_m(𝒢)`, `K ≠ ∅`.
There is a proper supervisor `𝒮` with `L_c(𝒮/𝒢) = K` iff `K` is controllable and
`L_m(𝒢)`-closed (`K = K̄ ∩ L_m(𝒢)`). -/

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
