Let n,M,Q,K∈Nn,M,Q,K\in\mathbb Nn,M,Q,K∈N with KQ=nKQ=nKQ=n, M≤nM\le nM≤n, Q≤nQ\le nQ≤n and bit length of KKK at most nnn; write F=2n+1F=2^n+1F=2n+1, and let x∈Zx\in\mathbb Zx∈Z. Assume XA has xxx on top (over LXL_XLX), W has 111, CC has KKK, RM has 2M2^M2M, RQ has 2Q2^Q2Q, RN has 2n2^n2n, RF has FFF on top. Then the loop "while CC is nonzero do prepStep" runs from sss to the state where

XA:qit(M,K,x),QS+=reverse(wtZ(F,Q,0,pcs(M,K,x))),W:2n,CC:0\mathrm{XA}: \mathrm{qit}(M,K,x),\qquad \mathrm{QS} \mathrel{+}= \mathrm{reverse}\big(\mathrm{wtZ}(F,Q,0,\mathrm{pcs}(M,K,x))\big),\qquad \mathrm{W}: 2^n,\qquad \mathrm{CC}: 0XA:qit(M,K,x),QS+=reverse(wtZ(F,Q,0,pcs(M,K,x))),W:2n,CC:0

replace the tops of XA, W, CC (and the twisted pieces are pushed on QS, last on top), with cost at most K (30000(n+3)+30)+30K\,(30000(n+3)+30)+30K(30000(n+3)+30)+30.

Here pcs(M,K,x)\mathrm{pcs}(M,K,x)pcs(M,K,x) are the first KKK signed MMM-bit pieces of xxx, qit(M,K,x)\mathrm{qit}(M,K,x)qit(M,K,x) is the signed quotient left after KKK cuts, and wtZ\mathrm{wtZ}wtZ multiplies the iii-th piece by 2iQ2^{iQ}2iQ and reduces mod FFF. Each iteration splits off one piece, shifts it by the current weight W=2iQW=2^{iQ}W=2iQ, reduces it, and multiplies WWW by 2Q2^Q2Q. This is the loop inside fmPrep.

Formalization Note. States are IState NS records with item stacks G : Fin NS → List Item (head = top), input pointer ip and output out; s.upd X L replaces stack X by L; ints A is the list of integer items of A. The named stacks (ARG, PRM, RN, RF, DX, DL, …) are fixed indices in Fin 32. IRuns I iprog p s s' c means that p executes from s to exactly s' with some cost c′≤cc' \le cc′≤c, so costs are upper bounds; the program text iprog and input I are arbitrary unless constrained.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
