Uniform upper bounds converging to zero force a nonpositive constant

If a fixed real A is bounded above by every term of a sequence converging to zero, then A cannot be positive. The result is the deterministic limit step in the bounded-variation Lévy finite-mesh proof: the expected nonnegative drift deficit conditional on strict zero-barrier survival is bounded above by a mesh error tending to zero.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
