integer-multiplication

The radix-2 synthetic FFT of Harvey–van der Hoeven §3.2 (Lemma 3.2), over R=C[y]/(yr+1)R=\mathbb C[y]/(y^r+1)R=C[y]/(yr+1). A vector of RtR^tRt with t=2et=2^et=2e is an array u:N×N→Cu:\mathbb N\times\mathbb N\to\mathbb Cu:N×N→C, where u(k,c)u(k,c)u(k,c) is the coefficient of ycy^cyc in entry kkk.

  • yShift r m a is the coefficient array of ymay^m ayma in RRR, for m∈Zm\in\mathbb Zm∈Z.
  • synG r e is the normalised transform 1tu^\tfrac1t\hat ut1u^, computed by the Cooley–Tukey recursion. Each level halves the sums (uk+uk+t/2)/2(u_k+u_{k+t/2})/2(uk+uk+t/2)/2 for even outputs, and halves the differences multiplied by y−2rk/ty^{-2rk/t}y−2rk/t for odd outputs.
  • halfZ halves a Gaussian integer, rounding each part towards zero.
  • synGa r e is the same recursion on fixed-point integer arrays ℤ × ℤ, using halfZ in place of division by 2.

/-! The synthetic FFT over `R = ℂ[y]/(y^r + 1)` and its fixed-point approximation
(Harvey–van der Hoeven Lemma 3.2). A vector in `R^t` is stored as an array `u : ℕ × ℕ → ℂ`,
where `u (k, c)` is the coefficient of `y^c` in the `k`-th entry; integer arrays
`U : ℕ × ℕ → ℤ × ℤ` stand for `2^{-p} U` as usual. -/

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
