Dart successor preserves the left face

graph-theoryplanar-graphs

For a crossing-free ordinary polygonal drawing equipped with plane face data, the successor permutation preserves the face on the left of every dart. Consequently, if a dart has left face FFF, then every forward and backward iterate of the successor permutation also has left face FFF; the darts incident with any fixed face are unions of successor orbits.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
