Let Ψ=f+h\Psi=f+hΨ=f+h be as in Lemma 5, X\mathcal XX convex with domain KKK and prox map P\mathcal PP, Φ=Ψ+X\Phi=\Psi+\mathcal XΦ=Ψ+X, and run Algorithm 4 along any realization of the oracle samples. For every k≥1k\ge1k≥1 with αkλk≤βk\alpha_k\lambda_k\le\beta_kαkλk≤βk and LΨβk<1L_\Psi\beta_k<1LΨβk<1, and every x∈Kx\in Kx∈K,

Φ(xkag)≤(1−αk)Φ(xk−1ag)+αkΦ(x)+⟨δˉk,αk(x−xk−1)⟩−14(1βk−LΨ)∥xkag−xkmd∥2+βk∥δˉk∥21−LΨβk+αk2λk[∥xk−1−x∥2−∥xk−x∥2]+Lfαk2∥xkmd−x∥2+Lfαk2(1−αk)2∥xk−1ag−xk−1∥2.\begin{aligned}\Phi(x^{ag}_k)\le{}&(1-\alpha_k)\Phi(x^{ag}_{k-1})+\alpha_k\Phi(x)+\langle\bar\delta_k,\alpha_k(x-x_{k-1})\rangle-\frac14\Big(\frac1{\beta_k}-L_\Psi\Big)\|x^{ag}_k-x^{md}_k\|^2+\frac{\beta_k\|\bar\delta_k\|^2}{1-L_\Psi\beta_k}\\&+\frac{\alpha_k}{2\lambda_k}\Big[\|x_{k-1}-x\|^2-\|x_k-x\|^2\Big]+\frac{L_f\alpha_k}2\|x^{md}_k-x\|^2+\frac{L_f\alpha_k^2(1-\alpha_k)}2\|x^{ag}_{k-1}-x_{k-1}\|^2 .\end{aligned}Φ(xkag)≤(1−αk)Φ(xk−1ag)+αkΦ(x)+⟨δˉk,αk(x−xk−1)⟩−41(βk1−LΨ)∥xkag−xkmd∥2+1−LΨβkβk∥δˉk∥2+2λkαk[∥xk−1−x∥2−∥xk−x∥2]+2Lfαk∥xkmd−x∥2+2Lfαk2(1−αk)∥xk−1ag−xk−1∥2.

It is the stochastic counterpart of (2.51): the noise δˉk\bar\delta_kδˉk contributes a linear term, which vanishes in expectation, and a quadratic term.

Formalization Note Pathwise; this is the last line of the printed chain. βk<1/LΨ\beta_k<1/L_\Psiβk<1/LΨ of (2.9) is written LΨβk<1L_\Psi\beta_k<1LΨβk<1, which needs no sign condition on LΨL_\PsiLΨ.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
