This statement formalizes the smoothness of the unnormalized posterior integral; it is part of the compact-prior stage preceding Equation (67) of Bizeul–Klartag–Lehec (arXiv:2610.05474v1).

Let EEE be a finite-dimensional real inner-product space and let μ\muμ be a probability measure with compact support. Let f:E→Rf:E\to\mathbb Rf:E→R be measurable. Let C∈RC\in\mathbb RC∈R satisfy 0≤C0\leq C0≤C, and assume ∥f(x)∥≤C\|f(x)\|\leq C∥f(x)∥≤C on the support of μ\muμ. Fix a continuous linear map Q:E→EQ:E\to EQ:E→E.

The map of the linear parameter c∈Ec\in Ec∈E defined by

c⟼∫EeEc,Q(x)f(x) dμ(x)c\longmapsto\int_E e^{E_{c,Q}(x)}f(x)\,d\mu(x)c⟼∫EeEc,Q(x)f(x)dμ(x)

is C∞C^\inftyC∞, where Ec,Q(x)E_{c,Q}(x)Ec,Q(x) is quadraticExponent c Q x:

ContDiff⁡R∞(c↦∫EeEc,Q(x)f(x) dμ(x)).\operatorname{ContDiff}_{\mathbb R}^{\infty} \left(c\mapsto\int_E e^{E_{c,Q}(x)}f(x)\,d\mu(x)\right).ContDiffR∞(c↦∫EeEc,Q(x)f(x)dμ(x)).

This is an unnormalized-integral regularity result and does not assert regularity in QQQ.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
