For an algebraic integer aaa of Q\mathbb QQ, positivity under every real embedding of Q\mathbb QQ is equivalent to positivity of the corresponding integer in Z\mathbb ZZ. This converts the archimedean condition in the narrow ray subgroup of Q\mathbb QQ into the usual positive-generator condition used to identify its ray classes with (Z/nZ)×(\mathbb Z/n\mathbb Z)^\times(Z/nZ)×.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
