Width bounds for the round-eight bit histogram.

Every child-width pair (w,n)(w,n)(w,n) in Jain's round-eight bit histogram hbit=Jain.bitR8h^{\mathrm{bit}}=\mathrm{Jain.bitR8}hbit=Jain.bitR8 (opposite bank orders on the round-seven witness 2; width bound m=529m=529m=529) satisfies

0<w≤529.0 < w \le 529.0<w≤529.

Together with the proved histMoment_mono_tau, this unlocks upgrading a moment bound at exponent 1−a∗1-a^*1−a∗ to the stopped-mix exponent 1−ab1-a_b1−ab whenever ab≤a∗a_b\le a^*ab≤a∗. The sister lemma bitR8_widths_le only records w≤529w\le 529w≤529; the strict positivity w>0w>0w>0 is required by the monotonicity hypothesis.

Formalization Note. bitR8 is from IntMul_KappaJainData (lean/Round8.lean, bitHist).

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
