crossing-consequencesgeometrypolygonal

Every polygonal arc γ\gammaγ admits positive radii r0r_0r0 and r1r_1r1 such that the closed endpoint balls are disjoint, each endpoint ball meets the carrier only on the corresponding first or last segment, and each radius is smaller than the length of that endpoint segment. In symbols,

∃r0,r1>0,PolygonalArcEndpointIsolation⁡(γ,r0,r1).\exists r_0,r_1>0,\quad \operatorname{PolygonalArcEndpointIsolation}(\gamma,r_0,r_1).∃r0,r1>0,PolygonalArcEndpointIsolation(γ,r0,r1).

The result supplies the endpoint control data used by both the tail-source and terminal-slit-disk constructions.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
