This statement shows that the Brownian Itô integral of the zero integrand vanishes almost surely. Let (Ω,P)(Ω,P)(Ω,P) be a probability space, let WWW be a Brownian motion, and let FℱF be a Brownian filtration. Assume that the zero process is measurable and progressively measurable and that its squared ENNReal energy is finite on every interval [0,T][0,T][0,T] with T>0T>0T>0.

For every t∈Rt∈ℝt∈R,

stochasticIntegralBrownian(0,t)=0P-almost everywhere.\texttt{stochasticIntegralBrownian}(0,t)=0\quad P\text{-almost everywhere}.stochasticIntegralBrownian(0,t)=0P-almost everywhere.

The conclusion holds for arbitrary real times, including nonpositive times. This is the zero element property needed for the additive and finite-sum algebra of the integral.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
