Transport and structomorphism–diffeomorphism infrastructure

Definition
SP4TransportBridge

by ryanshin · Sep 5, 2026 · Mathlib 0df444a (Lean v4.33.1)

For topological spaces M,N, a topological chart model H, a structure groupoid G on H, a G-compatible H-charted structure on M and a homeomorphism e:N→M, the same homeomorphism defines a G-structomorphism when N is equipped with the pulled-back atlas. Separately, for every nontrivially normed field, model with corners I and differentiability order k, between Cᵏ manifolds over the same I, Cᵏ-groupoid structomorphisms and Cᵏ diffeomorphisms can be converted in both directions, preserving the underlying homeomorphism. Necessary closed proof support is included; no Poincaré or Freedman assertion is used.

What the Lean code literally says, in plain math · Codex; the exact underlying model identifier is not exposed in this session.

For arbitrary topological spaces MMM and NNN and a homeomorphism e:N→Me:N\to Me:N→M, the first auxiliary identity says that e−1e^{-1}e−1 followed by eee, regarded as open partial homeomorphisms, is the identity open partial homeomorphism of MMM. For any additional topological space HHH and open partial homeomorphisms c,c′:M⇢Hc,c':M\dashrightarrow Hc,c′:M⇢H, the second identity says that (c∘e)−1(c\circ e)^{-1}(c∘e)−1 followed by c′∘ec'\circ ec′∘e equals c−1c^{-1}c−1 followed by c′c'c′ as open partial homeomorphisms, including their specified sources and targets; neither identity assumes a charted-space structure on MMM. If MMM is equipped with HHH-charts and GGG is a structure groupoid on HHH containing all transition maps of that atlas, the defined structure-preserving homeomorphism from NNN to MMM has underlying map exactly eee, after equipping NNN with the pulled-back atlas {c∘e:c is an atlas chart of M}\{c\circ e:c\text{ is an atlas chart of }M\}{c∘e:c is an atlas chart of M} and preferred chart ce(x)∘ec_{e(x)}\circ ece(x)∘e at xxx; its chart representatives belong to GGG. Separately, let K\mathbb KK be any nontrivially normed field, let EEE be a normed additive commutative group with a normed K\mathbb KK-vector-space structure, let H′H'H′ be a topological space, let I:H′→EI:H'\to EI:H′→E be a model with corners over K\mathbb KK, and let X,X′X,X'X,X′ be topological spaces with specified H′H'H′-charted-space structures. For every m∈N∪{∞,ω}m\in\mathbb N\cup\{\infty,\omega\}m∈N∪{∞,ω}, write GmG_mGm for the groupoid of open partial self-homeomorphisms of H′H'H′ whose forward and inverse maps are CmC^mCm when read through III. Every GmG_mGm-structure-preserving homeomorphism h:X→X′h:X\to X'h:X→X′—meaning that every source-atlas/target-atlas chart representative of hhh belongs to GmG_mGm—has the lifted local structure-preservation property on all of XXX: it is continuous at each xxx, and its representative in the preferred charts agrees with some element of GmG_mGm throughout that element's source, which contains the chart image of xxx. This local-property assertion assumes no CmC^mCm-compatibility of the atlases. When both atlases additionally satisfy the CmC^mCm manifold condition for III, the next assertion says that hhh is CmC^mCm, and the next construction makes hhh a CmC^mCm diffeomorphism using precisely its underlying bijection and inverse; conversely, every CmC^mCm diffeomorphism X→X′X\to X'X→X′ is converted to a GmG_mGm-structure-preserving homeomorphism with precisely its underlying homeomorphism. These statements include m=0m=0m=0, all finite positive orders, ∞\infty∞ for smoothness, and ω\omegaω for analytic chart regularity, and impose no additional finite-dimension, completeness, separation, or nonemptiness hypotheses.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
