This is the affine-support transport identity for translated probability laws.

Let EEE be a finite-dimensional real inner-product normed space with Borel and second-countable structure. Let μ\muμ be a probability measure on EEE and let b∈Eb\in Eb∈E. If translateLaw μ b is the pushforward of μ\muμ by x↦b+xx\mapsto b+xx↦b+x, then

affineSupport⁡(translateLaw⁡(μ,b))=(affineSupport⁡(μ))+b.\operatorname{affineSupport}(\operatorname{translateLaw}(\mu,b)) =\bigl(\operatorname{affineSupport}(\mu)\bigr)+b.affineSupport(translateLaw(μ,b))=(affineSupport(μ))+b.

The right side is expressed in Lean as the affine-subspace map under AffineEquiv.constVAdd. This is a geometric support-transport lemma.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
