Fix admissible fixed determinant data ddd and an integer multiplicity vector e:{0,…,m}→N>0e : \{0,\dots,m\}\to\mathbb{N}_{>0}e:{0,…,m}→N>0. Assume that all row weights wiw_iwi of the strict weighted simplex are commensurable with the rational scale R>0R>0R>0: for every iii one has R=ei wiR = e_i\,w_iR=eiwi. Then, for every natural number nnn, the complex dimension of the polynomial ring C[x0,…,xm]\mathbb{C}[x_0,\dots,x_m]C[x0,…,xm] modulo the nnn-th power of the product of the logarithmic center ideals equals the number of interpolation rows at height nRnRnR, i.e. the number of pairs consisting of a center index jjj and an exponent vector in the strict weighted simplex of height nRnRnR.

This Hilbert-function/colength count is the residual dimension identity behind the converse direction of the interpolation packet theory: packet vanishing identifies the ideal power with a subspace of the packet kernel, and this count shows that the two finite-dimensional spaces have equal dimension, so that the packet map on the quotient is an isomorphism.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
