This is a technical fact about the uniform time grid.

Let T,s∈RT,s\in\mathbb RT,s∈R and m∈Nm\in\mathbb Nm∈N satisfy 0<T0<T0<T, m≠0m\ne0m=0, 0<s0<s0<s, and s≤Ts\le Ts≤T. For the grid point

ti=unifGrid⁡(T,m,i),t_i=\operatorname{unifGrid}(T,m,i),ti=unifGrid(T,m,i),

there exists an index i∈Ni\in\mathbb Ni∈N such that

i<m,ti<s,s≤ti+1.i<m,\qquad t_i<s,\qquad s\le t_{i+1}.i<m,ti<s,s≤ti+1.

Thus every time in (0,T](0,T](0,T] lies in one of the half-open cells of the uniform partition.

This lemma is reused to locate time points in grid-based arguments.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
