Let v∈C∖Q‾v \in \mathbb{C} \setminus \overline{\mathbb{Q}}v∈C∖Q with vvˉ=1v\bar v = 1vvˉ=1. Let κ∈Q‾\kappa \in \overline{\mathbb{Q}}κ∈Q with κκˉ=1\kappa\bar\kappa = 1κκˉ=1, let G∈Q‾[X]G \in \overline{\mathbb{Q}}[X]G∈Q[X] with deg⁡G≥1\deg G \geq 1degG≥1, and put g=G(v)+κ vG(v)‾g = G(v) + \kappa\,\overline{vG(v)}g=G(v)+κvG(v). Then 1,v1, v1,v are linearly independent over Q‾\overline{\mathbb{Q}}Q, so are vˉ,1,g\bar v, 1, gvˉ,1,g, and each of the six products of a member of (1,v)(1, v)(1,v) with a member of (vˉ,1,g)(\bar v, 1, g)(vˉ,1,g) lies in spanQ‾(1,v,vˉ,g,gˉ)\mathrm{span}_{\overline{\mathbb{Q}}}(1, v, \bar v, g, \bar g)spanQ(1,v,vˉ,g,gˉ).

Proof. The products are vˉ,1,g\bar v, 1, gvˉ,1,g, vvˉ=1v\bar v = 1vvˉ=1, vvv and vg=κgˉvg = \kappa\bar gvg=κgˉ, the last identity using only vvˉ=1v\bar v = 1vvˉ=1 and κκˉ=1\kappa\bar\kappa = 1κκˉ=1. The family (1,v)(1, v)(1,v) is free as v∉Q‾v \notin \overline{\mathbb{Q}}v∈/Q. For (vˉ,1,g)(\bar v, 1, g)(vˉ,1,g), with n=deg⁡Gn = \deg Gn=degG, vnG(v)‾v^n\overline{G(v)}vnG(v) is the value at vvv of the reflected conjugate polynomial, of degree at most nnn, so a relation g0vˉ+g1+g2g=0g_0\bar v + g_1 + g_2g = 0g0vˉ+g1+g2g=0 times vn+1v^{n+1}vn+1 is a polynomial identity at the transcendental vvv whose coefficient at X2n+1X^{2n+1}X2n+1 is g2g_2g2 times the leading coefficient of GGG. So g2=0g_2 = 0g2=0, and then g0vˉ+g1=0g_0\bar v + g_1 = 0g0vˉ+g1=0 gives g0=g1=0g_0 = g_1 = 0g0=g1=0.

Novelty. Not found in the sources read in this form; routine. It is the configuration of DiazModulus.conj_stable_real_pencil_space_carries_two_by_three_configuration, written for Laurent data.
