matrix-multiplication

This is the hashed graded construction at scalar tolerance, with the input count separated into a polynomial bound.

Fix the released global data. For a scale KKK and a family a=(ao)o∈Fin 6a=(a_o)_{o\in\mathrm{Fin}\,6}a=(ao)o∈Fin6 of released global references at scale KKK, let NK(a)=partSize(K,a,1)N_K(a)=\mathrm{partSize}(K,a,1)NK(a)=partSize(K,a,1) be the number of hashed (positive) block positions. Let QK(a,e)\mathcal Q_K(a,e)QK(a,e) be the hashed source predicate QPos with the same tolerance eee for all six owners. Write blocks(K)=D5K\mathrm{blocks}(K)=D^5Kblocks(K)=D5K with D=1012D=10^{12}D=1012. Let

B=∏c zero cell(∑sz1(c,s)(z1(c,s))s) 5∑sz1(c,s) ones(s)B=\prod_{c\ \text{zero cell}}\binom{\sum_s z_1(c,s)}{(z_1(c,s))_s}\,5^{\sum_s z_1(c,s)\,\mathrm{ones}(s)}B=c zero cell∏((z1(c,s))s∑sz1(c,s))5∑sz1(c,s)ones(s)

be the unit-scale boundary dimension factor.

Claim. For every eee with 0<e≤10<e\le10<e≤1 there is a degree C∈NC\in\mathbb NC∈N such that for every k0k_0k0 there is k≥k0k\ge k_0k≥k0 with the following property. If k>0k>0k>0, then for every reference family aaa at scale K=k2K=k^2K=k2 there is a graded logarithmic joint recipe RRR of level 333 on NK(a)N_K(a)NK(a) positions with source QK(a,e)\mathcal Q_K(a,e)QK(a,e) such that:

  1. 1≤inputs(R)≤(k+1)C1\le \mathrm{inputs}(R)\le (k+1)^C1≤inputs(R)≤(k+1)C;
  2. 1≤R.a R.b R.c1\le R.a\,R.b\,R.c1≤R.aR.bR.c;
  3. the rate bound holds, with no input-count term:
6 blocks(k2)⋅1.3223547 ≤ logOutputs(R);6\,\mathrm{blocks}(k^2)\cdot 1.3223547\ \le\ \mathrm{logOutputs}(R);6blocks(k2)⋅1.3223547 ≤ logOutputs(R);
  1. the dimension bound holds:
6 blocks(k2) (3⋅2.09612367517−10−7) ≤ k2log⁡B+log⁡(R.a R.b R.c).6\,\mathrm{blocks}(k^2)\,\bigl(3\cdot 2.09612367517-10^{-7}\bigr)\ \le\ k^2\log B+\log(R.a\,R.b\,R.c).6blocks(k2)(3⋅2.09612367517−10−7) ≤ k2logB+log(R.aR.bR.c).

Role. This separates the polynomial type-count loss from refthe hashed construction. The type count only needs a polynomial bound in kkk whose degree may depend on eee. In exchange, the rate constant rises from 1.32235461.32235461.3223546 to 1.32235471.32235471.3223547, which is still below the planned budget ∑ρcρ+c2=1.3223548545\sum_\rho c_\rho+c_2=1.3223548545∑ρcρ+c2=1.3223548545. The extra 10−710^{-7}10−7 per 6 blocks(k2)6\,\mathrm{blocks}(k^2)6blocks(k2), namely 6⋅1053k26\cdot10^{53}k^26⋅1053k2, absorbs log⁡inputs≤Clog⁡(k+1)\log\mathrm{inputs}\le C\log(k+1)loginputs≤Clog(k+1) once k≥Ck\ge Ck≥C. The level-3 six-part stage and the level-2 continuation contribute polynomially many types, so their counts fit this form.

Formalization Note. The recipe type is LogJointRecipeG (partSize (k^2) a 1) 3 (QPos (k^2) a (fun _ ↦ e)). The degree CCC is chosen after eee and before k0k_0k0, so it may depend on eee but on nothing else.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
