Let www be a probability law on a finite cell set and μc\mu_cμc finite probability laws on the corresponding component spaces. For a statistic FFF on their disjoint union and a cell function HHH, assume ∣H(c)∣≤K|H(c)|\le K∣H(c)∣≤K with K≥0K\ge0K≥0, and ∣EμcF−m∣≤e|\mathbb E_{\mu_c}F-m|\le e∣EμcF−m∣≤e for a common real mmm and e≥0e\ge0e≥0. Then the tagged mixture satisfies

∣Cov⁡μmix(F,H(c))∣≤2Ke.|\operatorname{Cov}_{\mu_{\rm mix}}(F,H(c))|\le2Ke.∣Covμmix(F,H(c))∣≤2Ke.

This controls the complete mixture covariance, including variation between cells.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
