Let k⊆F⊆Ek\subseteq F\subseteq Ek⊆F⊆E be a compatible field tower with compatible kkk-derivations ddd on FFF and DDD on EEE. For a finite FFF-basis (bj)(b_j)(bj) of EEE, an element z=∑jzjbjz=\sum_j z_jb_jz=∑jzjbj, and every index iii,

[D(z)]i=d(zi)+∑jzj[D(bj)]i.[D(z)]_i=d(z_i)+\sum_j z_j[D(b_j)]_i.[D(z)]i=d(zi)+j∑zj[D(bj)]i.

The formula records both differentiation of the coordinates and variation of the basis.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
