This formalizes the limiting assertion in Lemma A.1 of Letwin (arXiv:2607.24164v1).

Let (μk)k∈N(\mu_k)_{k\in\mathbb N}(μk)k∈N and ν\nuν be probability measures on a finite-dimensional real inner-product space EEE. Assume:

  1. Each identity map belongs to L4(μk)L^4(\mu_k)L4(μk) and to L4(ν)L^4(\nu)L4(ν).
  2. For every d≤4d\le4d≤4 and every v:Fin⁡(d)→Ev:\operatorname{Fin}(d)\to Ev:Fin(d)→E, the mixed moments converge:
∫∏i⟨vi,x⟩ dμk(x)⟶∫∏i⟨vi,x⟩ dν(x).\int\prod_i\langle v_i,x\rangle\,d\mu_k(x)\longrightarrow\int\prod_i\langle v_i,x\rangle\,d\nu(x).∫i∏⟨vi,x⟩dμk(x)⟶∫i∏⟨vi,x⟩dν(x).
  1. Every μk\mu_kμk satisfies LetwinQuadraticBound.

Then ν\nuν also satisfies LetwinQuadraticBound.

The result supplies closure of the quadratic-form estimate under convergence of moments through degree four.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
