Let \structS,⪯\struct {S, \preceq}\structS,⪯ be an ordered set. Then there exists a set S\mathbb SS of subsets of SSS such that \structS,⪯≅\structS,⊆\struct {S, \preceq} \cong \struct {\mathbb S, \subseteq}\structS,⪯≅\structS,⊆ where \structS,⊆\struct {\mathbb S, \subseteq}\structS,⊆ is the relational structure consisting of S\mathbb SS and the subset relation ≅\cong≅ denotes order isomorphism. Hence any ordering on a set can be modelled uniquely by a set of subsets of that set under the subset relation.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
