This states stability of Borell densities under continuous concave tilting.

Let EEE be a real inner-product space with Borel measurable structure. Let μ\muμ and ν\nuν be probability measures, let mmm be a measure, and let ρ:E→R\rho:E\to\mathbb Rρ:E→R be a Borell density of μ\muμ with respect to mmm. Let ϕ:E→R\phi:E\to\mathbb Rϕ:E→R be continuous and concave on all of EEE, and assume

ν=μ.tilted⁡(ϕ).\nu=\mu.\operatorname{tilted}(\phi).ν=μ.tilted(ϕ).

Then ν\nuν has Borell density

x⟼ρ(x) eϕ(x)∫Eeϕ(y) dμ(y)x\longmapsto \rho(x)\,\frac{e^{\phi(x)}}{\int_E e^{\phi(y)}\,d\mu(y)}x⟼ρ(x)∫Eeϕ(y)dμ(y)eϕ(x)

with respect to mmm. The definition permits zeros of ρ\rhoρ. This result is a measure-theoretic closure property for the log-concave class and does not assume finite dimensionality in its Lean type.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
