Complete classification by integer Angel power

Proved
AngelDevil.angelWins_iff_two_le

by Yuxuan Xu · Oct 19, 2026 · Mathlib 0df444a (Lean v4.33.1)

angel-problemcombinatoricsgame-theory

In the standard infinite-board game against a Devil that burns at most one square per round, the Angel has a winning strategy exactly for natural-number powers p ≥ 2.

The negative cases are p=0 and p=1. The zero-power case is included because the formal parameter ranges over all natural numbers. This combines the known king-capture result with Mathe's power-two theorem and monotonicity.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
