Let f:N→Cf:\mathbb N\to\mathbb Cf:N→C and r≥0r\ge0r≥0, and assume M(N)=∑n=1Nf(n)=O(Nr)M(N)=\sum_{n=1}^Nf(n)=O(N^r)M(N)=∑n=1Nf(n)=O(Nr). Put F(s)=s∫1∞M(⌊t⌋)t−s−1 dtF(s)=s\int_1^\infty M(\lfloor t\rfloor)t^{-s-1}\,dtF(s)=s∫1∞M(⌊t⌋)t−s−1dt. Then

∑n=1Nf(n)n−s⟶F(s)locally uniformly on Re⁡s>r.\sum_{n=1}^Nf(n)n^{-s}\longrightarrow F(s)\quad\text{locally uniformly on }\operatorname{Re}s>r.n=1∑Nf(n)n−s⟶F(s)locally uniformly on Res>r.

In particular the convergence is uniform on each compact subset of that half-plane. Uniformity on the entire unbounded half-plane is not asserted. This stronger mode of convergence supports holomorphic limit arguments and differentiation.

The explicit resulting error bound is uniform on each set Re(s)>=sigma>r, |s|<=R.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
