Let a finite halfspace system be given, together with a direction g and nonnegative length τ. For every original row that increases along g and every original row that decreases along g, suppose there is a nonnegative combination of the original inequalities whose normal is the corresponding opposing-row combination and whose constant certifies at least τ units of fiber width. Then the whole halfspace set is exactly the Minkowski sum of its endpoint erosion by the segment [0,τg] and that segment. The statement uses only the original rows and finite nonnegative weights; no proposed residual polytope or vertex enumeration is assumed.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
