Bypass-region data for arc-crossing elimination

crossing-consequencesgeometrypolygonal

Given a compact forbidden set, a polygonal arc, a finite polygonal presentation of that arc, and a polygonal path in general position whose only intersection with the arc is pendant at one endpoint, there is a connected bypass region in the complement. For every crossing of a path segment with the arc, the region supplies ordered cut points on the two sides of the crossing; the associated short segment meets the arc only at that crossing, distinct crossings give disjoint short segments, and every point of the original segment's arc intersection lies on one of these short segments.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
