Assume the standing assumptions and Assumption 1, and let (xt,yt,zt)(x^t, y^t, z^t)(xt,yt,zt) be generated by the proximal ADMM. If the sequence {(xt,yt,zt)}\{(x^t, y^t, z^t)\}{(xt,yt,zt)} has a cluster point, then

lim⁡t→∞∥xt+1−xt∥=0.\lim_{t\to\infty}\|x^{t+1} - x^t\| = 0 .t→∞lim∥xt+1−xt∥=0.

Combined with (14) and (15), this gives (9), the vanishing of all successive differences.

Formalization Note "Has a cluster point" is encoded as the existence of a strictly increasing tit_iti along which (xti,yti,zti)(x^{t_i}, y^{t_i}, z^{t_i})(xti,yti,zti) converges.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
