Let c cc be the number of days in wich worker C CC does his duty. So B BB does it in b+c b + cb+c and A AA in a+b+c a + b + ca+b+c days. In one day each worker, C CC , B BB and A AA , does respectively 1c \frac {1}{c}c1 , 1b+c \frac {1}{b + c}b+c1 and 1a+b+c \frac {1}{a + b + c}a+b+c1 . So if A AA and B BB together do the duty in the same time C CC does, we must have that: 1a+b+c+1b+c=1c\frac {1}{a + b + c} + \frac {1}{b + c} = \frac {1}{c}a+b+c1+b+c1=c1 Which can be reduced to c2=ab+b2c^2 = ab + b^2c2=ab+b2

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
