In dimension two, the coefficient choice a=b=−ua=b=-ua=b=−u gives Rˇ(u)=a(1−P+P∗)\check R(u)=a(\mathbf1-P+P_*)Rˇ(u)=a(1−P+P∗). For every nonzero complex aaa, this matrix satisfies the braid relation:

RˇiRˇi+1Rˇi=Rˇi+1RˇiRˇi+1.\check R_i\check R_{i+1}\check R_i =\check R_{i+1}\check R_i\check R_{i+1}.RˇiRˇi+1Rˇi=Rˇi+1RˇiRˇi+1.

This is the second branch of Theorem 1's braid classification. Equation (70) displays the matrix at a=1a=1a=1; the statement includes its nonzero scalar multiples because the braid equation is homogeneous.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
