Here L\mathcal{L}L is the set of logarithms of algebraic numbers, and L~\widetilde{\mathcal{L}}L is the Q‾\overline{\mathbb{Q}}Q-vector space spanned by 111 and L\mathcal{L}L.

If z∈L~z \in \widetilde{\mathcal{L}}z∈L, then zˉ∈L~\bar z \in \widetilde{\mathcal{L}}zˉ∈L.

Proof. By induction on the span: 1ˉ=1\bar 1 = 11ˉ=1; the conjugate of a logarithm of an algebraic number is a logarithm of the conjugate number (DiazModulus.logAlg_conj_stable); and the conjugate of an algebraic coefficient is algebraic.

Novelty. None: a standard fact, used throughout Diaz (2004, 2007).

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
