This is a technical conditional-centering statement for cross increments of Itô integrals driven by distinct Brownian coordinates.

Let (Ω,A,P)(\Omega,\mathcal A,P)(Ω,A,P) be a probability space, let F\mathcal FF be a filtration, and let WWW be a ddd-dimensional Brownian motion whose coordinates are Brownian motions relative to F\mathcal FF. Let H,K:Ω×R→RH,K:\Omega\times\mathbb R\to\mathbb RH,K:Ω×R→R be jointly measurable and progressively measurable, and assume that for every T>0T>0T>0 their squared norms have finite [0,∞][0,\infty][0,∞]-valued integral over Ω×[0,T]\Omega\times[0,T]Ω×[0,T]. For distinct coordinates i,j∈Fin⁡(d)i,j\in\operatorname{Fin}(d)i,j∈Fin(d) and times 0≤a<b0\le a<b0≤a<b, the conditional expectation at time aaa of the product of the two Itô-integral increments is almost everywhere zero:

E ⁣[(∫abHs dWsi)(∫abKs dWsj)|Fa]=0P-a.e.\mathbb E\!\left[\left(\int_a^b H_s\,dW^i_s\right) \left(\int_a^b K_s\,dW^j_s\right)\middle|\mathcal F_a\right]=0 \quad P\text{-a.e.}E[(∫abHsdWsi)(∫abKsdWsj)Fa]=0P-a.e.

Here the conditional expectation is the Lean definition condExp, and the stochastic integrals are stochasticIntegralBrownian; the hypotheses include the stated measurability, progressive measurability, and finite squared-norm integrability conditions for both integrands. The result is reusable whenever cross-coordinate Itô increments must be treated as martingale differences.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
