Scalar window for the sharp diagonal Hlawka constant on [32,50][32,50][32,50]

Proved
HlawkaSchatten.DiagonalCutoff32.scalar_window32

functional-analysis

Let KpK_pKp denote the cyclic constant of the foundation mission and scalarEnvelope(p,q)\mathrm{scalarEnvelope}(p,q)scalarEnvelope(p,q) its scalar envelope. For every real exponent ppp with 32≤p≤5032\le p\le 5032≤p≤50:

0.448 p<Kp,scalarEnvelope(p,0.386)<Kp,Kp≤p2.0.448\,p<K_p,\qquad \mathrm{scalarEnvelope}(p,0.386)<K_p,\qquad K_p\le \frac p2.0.448p<Kp,scalarEnvelope(p,0.386)<Kp,Kp≤2p.

These three scalar facts confine a normalized counterexample to Hlawka's inequality with constant KpK_pKp: the linear lower bound controls the pair-gap sum, the envelope bound controls the total norm, and the upper bound limits the constant in the convexity estimate.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
