Extension of an infinity-chart point ideal to the overlap has the expected coordinate generators.

This lemma is one step of a machine-checked proof that the genus-two curve

Y2=X6+4X5+6X4+2X3+X2+2X+1Y^2 = X^6+4X^5+6X^4+2X^3+X^2+2X+1Y2=X6+4X5+6X4+2X3+X2+2X+1

(a model of X1(13)X_1(13)X1(13)) has no rational affine points other than the cusps X∈{0,−1}X\in\{0,-1\}X∈{0,−1}, which gives the case N=13N=13N=13 of Mazur's torsion theorem. The proof is Xiang Huang's Lean development, ported to this Mathlib and split into one node per large lemma; definitions live in the layered entries MazurN13_L0, MazurN13_L1, ….

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
