This states a weighted second-moment identity for a Brownian motion WWW under a probability measure PPP and a Brownian filtration F\mathcal FF. Let 0≤a<b0\le a<b0≤a<b, and let g:Ω→Rg:\Omega\to\mathbb Rg:Ω→R be strongly measurable with respect to Fa\mathcal F_aFa. Then

∫Ωg(ω)(Wb(ω)−Wa(ω))2 dP(ω)=(∫Ωg dP)(b−a).\int_\Omega g(\omega)\bigl(W_b(\omega)-W_a(\omega)\bigr)^2\,dP(\omega) =\left(\int_\Omega g\,dP\right)(b-a).∫Ωg(ω)(Wb(ω)−Wa(ω))2dP(ω)=(∫ΩgdP)(b−a).

The result records the conditional diagonal calculation for an increment square; its stated assumptions include only strong Fa\mathcal F_aFa-measurability of ggg, besides the probability and Brownian-filtration hypotheses.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
