Let EEE be a finite-dimensional real normed space. If a function g:E×R→Rg : E \times \mathbb{R} \to \mathbb{R}g:E×R→R is of class CnC^nCn (for n∈N∪{∞}n \in \mathbb{N}\cup\{\infty\}n∈N∪{∞}), then the parameter-dependent integral

x↦∫01g(x,s) dsx \mapsto \int_0^1 g(x,s)\,dsx↦∫01g(x,s)ds

is likewise of class CnC^nCn as a map E→RE \to \mathbb{R}E→R.

This is the standard differentiation-under-the-integral statement for continuous dependence of the integrand on the parameter, specialized to the compact interval [0,1][0,1][0,1] and used as a building block for ContDiff assembly of radial Poincaré potentials.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
