Let a finite magma satisfy E677. Suppose left multiplication by xxx has the exact four-cycle

x⟼c1⟼c2⟼c3⟼x,x\longmapsto c_1\longmapsto c_2\longmapsto c_3\longmapsto x,x⟼c1⟼c2⟼c3⟼x,

with xxx distinct from the other three displayed points. Suppose distinct elements a,ba,ba,b on this orbit satisfy a⋄x=b⋄xa\diamond x=b\diamond xa⋄x=b⋄x. Then

a tagged exact first-return packet existsor∃y, y⋄x=x.\text{a tagged exact first-return packet exists}\quad\text{or}\quad\exists y,\ y\diamond x=x.a tagged exact first-return packet existsor∃y, y⋄x=x.

In the packet alternative put q=c2⋄xq=c_2\diamond xq=c2⋄x, r=c1⋄c2r=c_1\diamond c_2r=c1⋄c2, s=c3⋄qs=c_3\diamond qs=c3⋄q. The packet retains the q-collision, c1⋄q=xc_1\diamond q=xc1⋄q=x, c2⋄q=c1c_2\diamond q=c_1c2⋄q=c1, and all four base points and q as distinct elements. Its five possible initialized branches are:

  1. R through one step: r is outside the base and q, and Lx(q)L_x(q)Lx(q) is outside those six points; use seed q and depth 1.
  2. R through two steps: r is outside the base and q, Lx(q)=rL_x(q)=rLx(q)=r, and Lx(r)L_x(r)Lx(r) is outside those six points; use seed q and depth 2.
  3. S through one step: r=c1r=c_1r=c1, s is outside the base and q, and Lx(q)L_x(q)Lx(q) is outside those six points; use seed q and depth 1.
  4. S through two steps: r=c1r=c_1r=c1, s is outside the base and q, Lx(q)=sL_x(q)=sLx(q)=s, and Lx(s)L_x(s)Lx(s) is outside those six points; use seed q and depth 2.
  5. Swapped S: r=c1r=c_1r=c1, s is outside the base and q, and Lx(q)=sL_x(q)=sLx(q)=s, Lx(s)=qL_x(s)=qLx(s)=q. The new seed t=c2⋄st=c_2\diamond st=c2⋄s is outside those six points and satisfies t⋄c2=c3t\diamond c_2=c_3t⋄c2=c3; use depth 0.

For the selected seed v and depth n, the packet supplies its positive minimal return period d>nd>nd>n. All of

v,Lx(v),…,Lxd−1(v)v,L_x(v),\ldots,L_x^{d-1}(v)v,Lx(v),…,Lxd−1(v)

are pairwise distinct and outside the four-element base cycle, and Lxd(v)=vL_x^d(v)=vLxd(v)=v. All branch equations and the initialized trace remain available. This gives an exact finite-cycle reduction; it does not claim that those cycles collapse or yield a fixer for x.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
