This formalizes the algebraic part of Lemma 5.1 of Bizeul–Klartag–Lehec (arXiv:2610.05474v1), p. 22.

Let n,r,m∈Nn,r,m\in\mathbb Nn,r,m∈N with r+1=mr+1=mr+1=m. Let HiH_iHi be real n×nn\times nn×n matrices such that:

  1. Each HiH_iHi is Hermitian.
  2. For every v∈Rnv\in\mathbb R^nv∈Rn,
∑i∥Hiv∥2≤8∥v∥2.\sum_i\|H_i v\|^2\le 8\|v\|^2.i∑∥Hiv∥2≤8∥v∥2.

Let T,LT,LT,L be order-rrr coordinate tensors and let WiW_iWi be a family of such tensors indexed by i∈Fin⁡(n)i\in\operatorname{Fin}(n)i∈Fin(n). Then

12∑i∥Wi∥2−17m2∥T∥2−2⟨T,L⟩≤−(m+1)∥T∥2−2⟨T,L⟩+∑i∥Wi∥2−2∑i⟨Wi,ΣHiT⟩+12∑i∥ΣHiT∥2+12∑i∑s∥Hi(s)T∥2.\begin{aligned} &\frac12\sum_i\|W_i\|^2-17m^2\|T\|^2-2\langle T,L\rangle\\ &\le -(m+1)\|T\|^2-2\langle T,L\rangle+\sum_i\|W_i\|^2 -2\sum_i\langle W_i,\Sigma_{H_i}T\rangle\\ &\quad+\frac12\sum_i\|\Sigma_{H_i}T\|^2 +\frac12\sum_i\sum_s\|H_i^{(s)}T\|^2. \end{aligned}21i∑∥Wi∥2−17m2∥T∥2−2⟨T,L⟩≤−(m+1)∥T∥2−2⟨T,L⟩+i∑∥Wi∥2−2i∑⟨Wi,ΣHiT⟩+21i∑∥ΣHiT∥2+21i∑s∑∥Hi(s)T∥2.

This is an algebraic drift lower bound; it does not assert the full probabilistic or analytic lemma from the paper.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
