where [⋅][\cdot][⋅] is 111 when the condition holds and 000 otherwise. For real fff these are the conjugation-stable spaces of DiazModulus.conj_stable_real_pencil_space_carries_two_by_three_configuration; the criterion does not need fff real.

Proof. Put a0=−sλˉa_0 = -s\bar\lambdaa0=−sλˉ and g=f/(s+λu)g = f/(s + \lambda u)g=f/(s+λu), so s+λu=λ(u−a0)s + \lambda u = \lambda(u - a_0)s+λu=λ(u−a0) and f=sg+λugf = sg + \lambda ugf=sg+λug: the space is span(1,u,uˉ,g,ug)\mathrm{span}(1, u, \bar u, g, ug)span(1,u,uˉ,g,ug), and these five are free. If P(a0)≠0P(a_0) \neq 0P(a0)=0, g=P(u)/Q~(u)g = P(u)/\tilde Q(u)g=P(u)/Q~(u) with Q~=λQ(X−a0)\tilde Q = \lambda Q(X - a_0)Q~=λQ(X−a0) coprime to PPP; if P(a0)=0P(a_0) = 0P(a0)=0, P=(X−a0)P1P = (X - a_0)P_1P=(X−a0)P1 and g=λ−1P1(u)/Q(u)g = \lambda^{-1}P_1(u)/Q(u)g=λ−1P1(u)/Q(u). DiazModulus.rational_degree_one_space_visible_to_four_dimensional_extensions_iff_natDegree_le applied to that fraction gives the bound in both cases.

Novelty. Not found in the sources read; routine. For Laurent fff it contains the invisibility in DiazModulus.laurent_real_pencil_configuration_invisible_to_four_dimensional_extensions.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
