Let ν\nuν be a normalized place, let wi>0w_i>0wi>0 be weights, and let FFF be a polynomial whose support has weighted degree at most N≥0N\ge 0N≥0. Then the pole order of the evaluation F(x)F(x)F(x) at ν\nuν satisfies

max⁡(−ord⁡ν(F(x)),0)≤N⋅Poleν(x,w).\max(-\operatorname{ord}_\nu(F(x)),0)\le N\cdot\mathrm{Pole}_\nu(x,w).max(−ordν(F(x)),0)≤N⋅Poleν(x,w).

This is the placewise form of the weighted polynomial pole bound (compare OpenAI PolynomialPoleBound / WeightedPolynomialPole): each monomial of weight ≤N\le N≤N has valuation at least −N⋅Poleν-N\cdot\mathrm{Pole}_\nu−N⋅Poleν, and the valuation of a sum is at least the minimum of the summands.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
